Layered safety glass is an important preventive measure against organised break-in or theft. Layered glass containing several PVB foils can withstand being struck repeatedly. Depending on the composition, this delays or hinders the intruders' attempts. If the glass is struck very heavily, it will only break at the point where it is struck and will continue to adhere to the intermediate PVB layer. If there is only a crack in the glass after the break-in attempt, the pane will not fall apart in shards and the building will still be sufficiently sealed.
Depending on the risk and application, we can recommend different types of glass (see accompanying use table). It is advisable to contact the insurance company for special applications.
